Three Turkish nationals arrested in Georgia on drug charges

Georgian police have arrested three Turkish nationals in the Black Sea region of Adjara in western Georgia for illegal possession of large and especially large quantities of narcotic and psychotropic substances, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced on Monday.
The body said the suspects - identified only by their initials as A.T. (born in 1997), E.Ch. (born in 2003), and D.I. (born in 2000) - were detained following a series of coordinated operational and investigative activities carried out by officers from the Adjara Police Department.
During the searches, law enforcement officers seized a significant quantity of cocaine and the psychotropic drug pregabalin. A small electronic scale was also recovered from the scene, suggesting possible involvement in distribution.
If convicted, the suspects could face up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
