officers from the ministry of internal affairs’ Adjara police department in western Georgia have arrested two foreign nationals in connection with large-scale drug offences, including the illegal possession of narcotics and cultivation of cannabis plants.

The detainees, identified as M.E., born in 1994, and R.A., born in 1997, were apprehended at different times during the investigation.

According to the ministry, searches of the suspects’ homes and personal belongings uncovered substantial quantities of narcotics, including cocaine, mdma, clephedrone, cannabis plants, and dried marijuana. equipment used for cultivating drugs was also seized.

The investigation is ongoing under articles 260 and 265 of the Georgian criminal code, which carry penalties of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
