Officers of the Adjara Police Department under Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a Turkish citizen, A.T., born in 1980, on charges of attempted premeditated murder.

According to the investigation, the suspect injured two acquaintances - both citizens of the Republic of Turkey - during an altercation in Batumi. The victims, M.V. (born in 1988) and F.O. (born in 1981), sustained multiple wounds to different parts of their bodies caused by a sharp weapon.

Both injured men were taken to a medical facility for treatment.

Police detained A.T. shortly after the incident.
