Adjara leader meets newly appointed Israeli ambassador to discuss investment, regional cooperation

Adjara Government Chairperson Sulkhan Tamazashvili met with Israel’s newly appointed Ambassador to Georgia, Walid Abu Haya, during an official visit to the regional administration.
According to the press service, Tamazashvili congratulated the ambassador on the start of his diplomatic mission and wished him success in his future work.
During the meeting, the sides reviewed ongoing projects in the region and discussed opportunities for expanding economic and investment cooperation. They also highlighted prospects for deepening partnerships in the tourism sector.
The meeting was attended by Giorgi Zhgenti, head of MASHAV – Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation – in Georgia. The parties discussed future collaboration in the areas of education, professional development, innovation and regional development.
