The Chairman of the Government of Adjara, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, on Thursday met with Armenia’s Ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan to discuss deepening cooperation between the two neighbouring countries.

The meeting focused on the strategic partnership between Georgia and Armenia, highlighting “growing collaboration” in trade, economic development, and cultural exchange, The Adjara Government press office said. 

Both sides noted the “increasing momentum” in bilateral relations and discussed prospects for expanding cooperation further.

Tamazashvili also presented the ambassador with an overview of Adjara’s tourism potential, describing the Black Sea region as a “key destination” for international visitors and an important contributor to Georgia’s tourism sector.

The exchange further highlighted a shared interest in strengthening regional ties and exploring new opportunities for partnership between Adjara and Armenia.
