Active Covid cases decrease to 34,238 in Georgia

Georgia has reported 1,296 new cases of coronavirus of 22,001 tests, 4,127 recoveries and 45 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

34,238 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.

The country has recorded  910,456 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020, of which 863,076 have recovered, while 13,116 have died from the virus.

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows: 

Tbilisi – 600 cases 

Adjara – 122 cases 

Imereti – 197 cases

Kvemo Kartli – 85 cases 

Shida Kartli – 56 cases 

Guria – 34 cases 

Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 64 cases 

Kakheti – 71 cases

Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 31 cases

Samtskhe-Javakheti – 31 cases

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 5 cases

5,774 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today, while the majority of patients remain at home. 

1,080,162 people have been completely vaccinated in Georgia since March 2021.
