The participation of Georgia’s former prosecutor general and justice minister, Zurab Adeishvili, in the recent meeting with Council of Europe officials on behalf of Ukraine, proves his charges in Georgia are politically grounded, Levan Bezhashvili, an MP of the United National Movement opposition party said on Wednesday.

“This is not only the attitude of the Ukrainian government. Such a representation in the European Court of Human Rights is a clear confirmation that the accusations against Adeishvili are of a political nature,” Bezhashvili said.

The Ukrainian prosecutor general was hosted in CoE earlier this week to discuss Russia’s ongoing war against his country.

He was accompanied by his advisor Adeishvili, who had been convicted in absentia under the Georgian Dream authotoris for several alleged offenses.
