Adjara gov’t announces making of artificial island in Batumi

Head of government of Georgia’s autonomous Adjara region Tornike Rizhvadze has announced making an artificial island in the coastal Batumi city, while the graphical images of the island have been released by local officials shortly before. 

 

The island is likely to be located near Tamar settlement of Batumi, at a railway station. 

 

The local authorities claim that a 131 meter skyscraper will also be built there.
