In his remarks, Darakhvelidze highlighted Georgia’s “strict state policy” against drug trafficking

Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, together with the Ambassador of France to Georgia, Olivier Courteaud, and the Head of the Revenue Service’s Customs Department, Mikheil Chokoshvili, opened an international seminar titled Port Security and the Fight Against Drug Trafficking: From the Black Sea to the European Union.

In his remarks, Darakhvelidze highlighted Georgia’s “strict state policy” against drug trafficking and the “effective measures” implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The seminar, organized by the Embassy of France, is being held in Batumi on 25-26 November and aims to strengthen cooperation among states in the Black Sea region in combating narcotics trafficking.

Representatives of law enforcement agencies, customs authorities, and the private sector from 13 European countries are participating.
