Rati Bregadze, the Georgian Justice Minister, on Thursday said all three inmates, who escaped from a Tbilisi Aversi clinic the previous day, have been arrested.

“The search operation was successfully completed in close coordination with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thanks to my friend, Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri, and the police for their great support”, Bregadze said in his social media post.

“Offenders will be punished accordingly. Thanks to everyone who wished us success”, Bregadze added and noted the case “should be a lesson for everyone who thinks about taking illegal steps against the law enforcement system focused on ensuring the security of Georgia and protecting human rights”.
