The chair of the For the People party, Anna Dolidze, on Friday introduced several scenarios prepared by the consulting company Lynx Strategic Advisory in connection with upcoming developments in Georgia.

“Today I want to present the scenarios that our partner consulting company, Lynx Strategic Advisory, developed regarding tomorrow’s events,” Dolidze said.

She stressed the importance of scenario planning for the October 4 rally organisers, noting that such methods are well developed in Western practice. Dolidze said the company had prepared a detailed document outlining seven possible scenarios.

“These scenarios are: consolidation of authoritarianism and strengthening of Russian influence; new parliamentary elections; transfer of power; Ivanishvili remaining in place but with the formation of a false/alternative cabinet; nihilism and temporary disappointment; and internal provocations,” she explained.

Dolidze added that the methodology behind scenario writing requires not excluding even the least likely developments.
