Dolidze said that taking part in the elections would be “unjustified”.

Anna Dolidze’s political party has announced it will not participate in Georgia’s local self-government elections scheduled for 4 October.

Speaking on the decision on Thursday, Dolidze said that taking part in the elections would be “unjustified”.

Meanwhile, other opposition parties - including Lelo for Georgia and Gakharia for Georgia, led by former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia - have confirmed their participation in the upcoming municipal vote.

The announcement comes amid heightened political tensions and ongoing debates over the fairness and transparency of the electoral process.
