Displaced persons from Georgia’s Russian-occupied region of Abkhazia will now have access to a unified electronic portal designed to simplify communication with government institutions and improve access to public services.
The new platform, portal.abkhazia.gov.ge, aims to streamline communication between displaced citizens and the Abkhazian government’s institutions by bringing all relevant programmes and services into a single digital space. Through the portal, internally displaced persons can obtain comprehensive information remotely and without bureaucratic barriers.
The platform integrates services and programmes offered by the Government of Abkhazia and all its agencies, covering areas such as healthcare, education, social services, the economy, confidence-building and reconciliation. Users will be able to access information on available support mechanisms in one place, improving efficiency and transparency.
Speaking at the presentation in the western city of Zugdidi, Chair of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Giorgi Jincharadze and Minister of Justice and Civil Integration Aliona Chkhotua highlighted the portal’s key features and its practical importance for displaced communities.
The platform was created at the initiative of the Government of Abkhazia with the support of the Ministry of Justice and Civil Integration of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia.
