Head of Abkhazia’s government begins official visit to Italy

The Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Giorgi Jincharadze, has departed for an official visit to the Italian Republic.

During the visit, he is scheduled to meet the Mayor of Palermo, Roberto Lagalla, as well as other representatives of the local authorities in Palermo.

The chairman will also meet representatives of Italian families who hosted nearly 800 displaced teenagers from Abkhazia between 1994 and 2007 as part of post-conflict rehabilitation efforts. He is expected to deliver remarks at Teatro Don Bosco, where the State Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of Abkhazia, Abkhazia, will hold a concert.

Jincharadze is travelling with a delegation that includes the Minister of Education and Culture of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Giorgi Dzadzamia, the Minister of Justice and Civil Integration, Aliona Chkhotua, a member of the Supreme Council of Abkhazia, Elguja Gvazava, and a representative of the Temporary Commission of the Parliament of Georgia on the Restoration of Territorial Integrity and De-occupation Issues.
