Tbilisi Court denies bail for 11 protesters accused of group violence

Tbilisi City Court has ruled to keep 11 individuals, including actor Andro Chichinadze and comedian Onise Tskhadadze, in pretrial detention. The decision was made by Judge Irakli Shvangiradze.

The Prosecutor’s Office has charged Chichinadze, Tskhadadze, and nine others—Guram Mirtskhulava, Luka Jabua, Jano Archaia, Ruslan Sivakov, Valeri Tetrashvili, Giorgi Terishvili, Irakli Kerashvili, Revaz Kiknadze, and Sergei Kukharchuk—with participation in group violence.

If convicted, they face prison sentences ranging from four to six years.
