Tbilisi City Court Judge Ketevan Jachvadze has ruled to keep all 11 individuals detained during recent protests in custody. The detainees include Andro Chichinadze, Onise Tsakadze, Guram Mirtskhulava, Luka Jabua, Jano Archaya, Ruslan Sivakov, Irakli Kerashvili, Valeri Tetruashvili, Giorgi Terishvili, Revaz Kiknadze, and Sergei Kukharchuk.

Defense lawyers had requested that the court release the defendants without pretrial detention or impose bail as an alternative measure. They argued that the accused individuals did not know each other before the protests, challenging the claim that they had organized group violence.

The detainees have been charged under Article 225, Part 2, of Georgia’s Criminal Code, which pertains to participation in group violence. If convicted, they face prison sentences ranging from 4 to 6 years.
