Archil Gorduladze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Issues, has once again called on the German Ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, to “read the Vienna Convention in full, understand its spirit, and stop spreading false information.”
The MP was responding to the ambassador’s criticism of laws recently adopted by the Georgian government.
“Are we talking about the Transparency Law - the law currently being adopted and strengthened in the European Union? Are we talking about the law on the protection of family values, and is there a call to repeal it? Any attempt at blackmail or statements related to the EU by Fischer, who holds the title of ambassador, are, of course, disinformative and intended solely to create unrest in the country. I once again urge this person to fully read the Vienna Convention, understand its spirit, and refrain from spreading lies,” Gorduladze said.
