In a social media statement, UNM member Armaz Akhvlediani called on the four opposition parties that have surpassed the electoral threshold to develop a unified action plan to protect what he describes as the “victory achieved by the people” in the October 26 elections.

Akhvlediani asserted that ruling party leader Bidzina Ivanishvili’s “police regime” was defeated but is “shamelessly claiming victory” through the Central Election Commission (CEC), which he alleges is biased.

Akhvlediani urged for a “firm, united, and effective” strategy to counter any moves by the Georgian Dream to maintain control. He emphasized that securing Georgia’s democratic and European aspirations depends on the opposition’s commitment to resist the “Russian Dream’s power grab.”
