The US Embassy in Georgia has responded to statements made by Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party.

“Mr. Mdinaradze’s statements today are entirely false and demonstrate a lack of understanding of what the US Embassy is doing to support the key priorities of President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio – making America safer, stronger, and more successful,” the embassy stated.

Mdinaradze had claimed that US leaders, including President Trump himself, have spoken about the “great evil” allegedly coming from USAID and NED.

“We never called American money evil. Today, Americans themselves—President Trump, his administration, his supporters, and his team—are saying that this was a great evil,” Mdinaradze declared.
