The United States Embassy in Georgia on Monday “once again” responded to accusations coming from the ruling Georgian Dream party and Government officials over “dragging” the country into the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, saying “unfortunately, disinformation has shown itself again”.

The Embassy stressed the US had “indefinitely postponed” the Noble Partner military exercises due to “false allegations” related to the “second front”.

In its social media post, the mission pointed out that misinformation had resurfaced recently, particularly in the speeches of leading political figures. “The truth is simple,” they asserted.

To further clarify their position, the Embassy published photos on Facebook, including one featuring the partnership, saying “strong countries need strong allies. Why would we destroy what we have been building for 32 years?”
