US Embassy issues alert over bomb threats at three Tbilisi malls

The US Embassy in Georgia has issued a security alert after receiving information about bomb threats at three major shopping centers in Tbilisi.

According to the embassy’s official statement, the threats targeted the following locations:

East Point Shopping Mall – 2 Aleksandre Tvalcherilidze Street

Galleria Tbilisi – 2/4 Shota Rustaveli Avenue

Tbilisi Mall – 16 Davit Aghmashenebeli Avenue

The embassy's Regional Security Office has advised all embassy personnel to avoid these areas until further notice and urged the public to remain vigilant and follow local media updates for developments.

Georgia’s State Security Service stated that authorities are investigating the incident as a possible hoax, but the investigation is ongoing.

The US Embassy assured it will share additional information as it becomes available.
