At least three journalists were killed and 35 others injured  by Russian troops since the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine on February 24, Ukrainian Public Advocate Lyudmila Denisova says.

She stated that Russian occupiers are fighting ‘against the objective coverage of their war crimes’ in Ukraine.

“They are deliberately shooting at journalists and killing them,” Denisova said.

“Journalist Victor Dudar was lost during hostilities near Nikolaev. Live cameraman Yevhen Sakun was killed in a rocket attack in Kyiv. Brent Reno, a USA citizen, video journalist and documentary filmmaker, was killed at a checkpoint in Irpen, Kyiv Region,” Denisova stated.

She said that many journalists were wounded by targeted shelling by Russian troops.
