Starting September 20 Australian adults between 12 and 16 will be able to get Moderna coronavirus shots at pharmacies.

The step comes on the heels of Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration approving the vaccine for the age group.

The Australian government is working now to make supplies for Pfizer booster doses for the next year.

The booster dose. to more effectively fight with the Delta variant of coronavirus, is required in six to nine months of the second shot of either Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccines.
