Azerbaijan’s President congratulates Georgian PM on parliamentary election victory

In a recent statement, President Ilham Aliyev extended congratulations to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze following the parliamentary elections in Georgia, where the ruling Georgian Dream party received the majority of the votes.

In his congratulatory letter, President Aliyev commended the citizens of Georgia for their support of development, stability, and traditional values, emphasizing that the election results reflect the will of the people. He expressed confidence that the victory would further enhance the overall development and prosperity of Georgia.

“At the same time, I express my belief that the results of the elections will contribute to the continuous development of Azerbaijan-Georgia relations, which stem from the will of our peoples who have historically lived in a spirit of friendship, brotherhood and good neighborliness, and further enhancement of the authority of our countries in the South Caucasus and the wider region ,” Aliyev’s letter reads.

The Azerbaijani president invited Prime Minister Kobakhidze to make an official visit to Azerbaijan at his convenience, signaling a desire to continue political dialogue and strengthen their strategic partnership. He expressed optimism about their joint efforts to foster mutual benefits on bilateral and multilateral fronts for the welfare and security of their nations and the region.
