Masato Kanda, President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), on Friday described his meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze as “highly productive,” stressing the ongoing partnership between ADB and Georgia.
Kanda underlined that improving the quality of life for Georgia’s population and supporting economic development remained top priorities for the Bank.
“I congratulated the Prime Minister on Georgia’s strong macroeconomic performance and the completion of the Rikoti Tunnel section, an extraordinary project that enhances regional connectivity. We discussed ADB’s role in the Middle Corridor, as well as airport modernization and tourism development. Through investment in critical infrastructure and the private sector, we will continue supporting Georgia’s ambition to serve as a regional gateway connecting Asia and Europe,” Kanda said.
