Batumi Court sentences cameraman to 8 days of administrative detention

Batumi City Court has sentenced Guram Murvanidze, a cameraman for the publication Batumelebi, to 8 days of administrative detention. The ruling was made by Judge Irma Togonidze.

Murvanidze was detained by police on June 12 during a protest in Batumi while covering the event.

The prosecution accused him of disobeying a lawful order from law enforcement officers.
