Authorities in Batumi, western Georgia, have begun removing unauthorized kiosks and temporary structures from the city’s Central Park, the municipal government announced on Friday.

The Batumi City Hall said the dismantled constructions - described as unapproved and visually inconsistent with the park’s layout - were being relocated to a designated municipal storage area by the city’s inspection service.

Officials noted that the ongoing demolition campaign aimed to improve the appearance of public spaces and create a more orderly urban environment.

“The process of dismantling unauthorized and unsightly objects is actively continuing, contributing to the improvement of the city’s image and the development of a well-organised space,” the municipality said.
