Officers from the Central Criminal Police Department’s Main Division for Combating Organised Crime have detained four Turkish citizens who were wanted with red notices for serious offences.

The Georgian Interior Ministry on Monday said the suspects were sought by Turkish law enforcement for a range of crimes, including imprisonment sentences, robbery, intentional homicide, illegal possession of weapons, grievous bodily harm, threats, traffic safety violations, drug offences, and document forgery.

The suspects were arrested at different times in Batumi and Tbilisi following investigative operations.

Extradition procedures are currently underway.
