Law enforcement officers detained him in Batumi following investigative and operative actions

Police in Adjara, western Georgia, have detained a Turkish national wanted on an Interpol Red Notice. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the suspect - S.I., born in 1987 - was wanted for drug and weapons trafficking, as well as property damage.

Law enforcement officers detained him in Batumi following investigative and operative actions.

Authorities said extradition procedures for the suspect are now underway in accordance with Georgian law.
