Georgian police have arrested a Tajik citizen who was the subject of an Interpol Red Notice on fraud charges, the Interior Ministry said on Thursday.
The suspect was wanted internationally at the request of law enforcement authorities in Tajikistan.
Officers from the Adjara Police Department in western Georgia located and arrested the man in the Black Sea city of Batumi following investigative measures.
Extradition procedures are currently underway, the ministry said.
