Biden: US citizens should leave Ukraine now

US President Joe Biden says that American citizens who are still remaining in Ukraine should leave the country now as Russia may attack Ukraine anytime. 

 

He stated that the US has no plans to send troops to Ukraine which faces real threats coming from Russia. 

 

Biden stated that “things could go crazy quickly” in the region and that in this case the US will not be able to help its citizens in Ukraine. 

 

Russia has denied any plans to invade Ukraine despite massing more than 100,000 troops at the border.

 

However, It has recently begun large-scale military drills with Belarus. 

Ukraine has accused Moscow of blocking its access to the sea. 

 

Russia is demanding NATO not to add Georgia and Ukraine as new members in the future and other ‘security guarantees’ from the alliance and the US. 

 

NATO has responded that its open-door policy will remain unchanged.
