Bodies of two Georgian fighters, Nikoloz Shanava, 21, and Davit Menabdishvili, 47, were transported to Georgia earlier today.

They were members of the Karpatska Sich battalion and fought for the liberation of Kharkiv from Russian troops.

Both were killed on April 9 during an artillery attack by the Russian military near Kharkiv.

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, six Georgian fighters have been killed.

Davit Gobejishvili, Gia Beruashvili and Davit Ratiani, who were killed near the city of Irpin, were brought to Georgia in March.

Bakhva Chikobava was killed in Mariupol.

His body has not been transported so far as the city is besieged by Russians.
