Body of 24th Georgian volunteer killed in Ukraine repatriated

The body of the 24th Georgian volunteer, Levan Sakhelashvili, who had been killed in Ukraine in the country’s fight against Russia, was repatriated to homeland early on Monday. 

Friends, family members and a group of citizens gathered at the Tbilisi International Airport to pay homage to the fighter. 

Sakhelashvili went to fight in Ukraine eight months ago.

He was 38 years old.
