Boris Chele Kurua, a member of the Coalition for Change, stated that specially trained individuals were present at polling stations in Georgia’s recent elections, gathering information for the ruling Georgian Dream party about who supported or opposed them.

“We have information that there were trained individuals at the election who provided Georgian Dream with information on who voted for them and who dared not to,” Kurua stated.

He further commented on Georgia’s history of flawed elections, noting that while irregularities have always existed, this election marks an unprecedented level of scrutiny.
“Never before have we seen an election where someone could deduce a voter’s choice by observing their ballot upon leaving the booth,” he said.

He also emphasized the coalition’s commitment to gathering evidence, engaging with Western partners, and protecting voters’ choices alongside the Georgian public.
“What the opposition is doing in this case, I think, physically, nothing more can be done. This involves taking on the role of investigator, gathering evidence, and communicating with our Western partners, explaining the issue, and helping them understand our context,” he stated.
