Czech Ambassador to Georgia Petr Kubernat has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia.

In a statement, Ambassador Kubernat extended his sincere condolences to the Georgian Orthodox Church, the people of Georgia, and his Georgian friends. “May his memory be eternal,” he wrote, noting that he had the honor of meeting the Patriarch for the last time on December 6, 2023.
