Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze announced on Monday the People’s Republic of China had decided to implement a visa-free travel policy for citizens of Georgia. Under this new regime, Georgian citizens will have the privilege of spending up to 30 consecutive days in China without requiring a visa, he said.

Kobakhidze emphasized the significance of this decision, highlighting its potential to facilitate smoother travel experiences for Georgian citizens while fostering stronger political, economic, and cultural ties between Georgia and China. He attributed this development to the strategic partnership agreement signed between the two countries the previous year.

Expressing his gratitude towards the Chinese authorities for this decision, Kobakhidze extended congratulations to Georgian citizens. Georgia also introduced visa free regime for Chinese nationals last year.
