Chinese Premier invites Georgian PM to opening of Int’l Import Expo in Shanghai

China’s Premier Li Qiang has invited Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to attend the opening ceremony of the 8th China International Import Expo, which will take place on November 5 in Shanghai.
“I believe this event will significantly deepen and substantially enrich our bilateral cooperation across various fields,” Qiang wrote in a letter to the Georgian Prime Minister.
The Chinese Premier emphasised the strong and growing partnership between China and Georgia, noting that the two countries enjoy mutual trust, respect and mutually beneficial cooperation.
“China and Georgia are good friends and good partners. We respect and trust each other and our mutually beneficial cooperation continues to strengthen. Our strategic partnership is maintaining steady growth, while the high-quality collaboration within the Belt and Road Initiative framework has already yielded fruitful results,” the letter reads.
Qiang expressed confidence that Georgia’s participation in the Shanghai expo would further advance bilateral relations and deliver more practical benefits to the peoples of both nations.
