Condition of a man shot in central Tbilisi stable

The condition of a man, who was shot late on May 24 on Shanidze Street in central Tbilisi, is stable, doctors said on Wednesday. 

The man, who is reportedly a citizen of Georgia, was operated on in Khechinashvili Clinic with a bullet in his back.

Witnesses said that they had heard several gunshots. 

Motive behind the incident, as well as suspects are unidentified. 

Police are looking into the case.
