Republican Congressman Joe Wilson, co-chair of the US Helsinki Commission, once again commented on US-Georgia relations, this time highlighting the ties between Georgia’s ruling party and China’s Communist Party.

Wilson noted that the current Georgian leadership under Georgian Dream party, which he called illegitimate, is making demands of the United States while awarding lucrative infrastructure contracts to China.

"The illegitimate Georgian Nightmare regime makes demands of the United States even as it gives the CCP control of its infrastructure through multi-million dollar contracts," Wilson wrote.

He warned that the Georgian Dream regime and its “crooked puppet master” Bidzina Ivanishvili are effectively giving China access to key mineral resources in the Middle Corridor and sidelining American interests.

Wilson added that former President Trump would not be deceived or disrespected by these actions.
