Control of visible emissions of motor vehicles on Georgian roads begins

The control of visible emissions of motor vehicles on the Georgian roads begins starting from Monday. 

The control will be carried out by the mobile crews of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture with special tools.

In case of violation an individual will be fined 100 GEL the first time. A legal entity will be fined 500 GEL on the first occasion. 

Individuals will face a 300-600 GEL fine in case of repeated violation, while legal entities will be fined 1500-3000 GEL in such cases.
