Coronavirus daily cases at 19,049 in Georgia

Georgia has reported 19,049 cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, while 176, 019 remain infected with the virus as of now.

56,531 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 39,936 rapid tests and 16,595 PCR tests.

The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country in February 2020 is 1,480,841.

The positivity rate as of February 14 is 33.7%, during the last 14 days – 32.01% and for the last seven days – 32.19%. 

18,409 people recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, while the  total number of those recovered has increased to 1,289,168.

51 new deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours. 

A total of 15,628 people have died from the virus since April 2020.

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows:

Tbilisi – 8 972 cases, 

Adjara – 1, 317,

Imereti – 2, 854, 

Kvemo Kartli – 842, 

Shida Kartli – 970,

Guria – 710, 

Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 1, 272, 

Kakheti – 1, 229, 

Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 446, 

Samtskhe -Javakheti – 307, 

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 130.

6,017 people are undergoing treatment in hospitals. 

At this stage, 1,306 people are seriously ill.
