Coronavirus deaths still high in Georgia, standing at daily 74

Georgia has reported 3,886 new cases of coronavirus of 52,162 tests, 4,103 recoveries and 74 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

 

The rate of new infections has slightly decreased since the country reimposed restrictions earlier this month. However, daily deaths remain high. 

 

Most of the new cases were reported in the capital Tbilisi – 1,509 cases , Imereti – 487 cases and Adjara regions- 445 cases.

 

48,672 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today. 

 

Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 553,697 cases of coronavirus, 497,517 recoveries and 7,482 deaths.

 

1,210,746 have been vaccinated in the country since March 2021. 408,663 of the 1,210,747 individuals have been completely vaccinated. 

 

To curb the spread of the virus public transport will not work in all big cities until September 13, while educational institutions will have to offer online studies until October 4 at least.
