Coronavirus in Georgia: active cases at 55,304, daily deaths hit 77

Georgia has reported 4,563 new cases of coronavirus out of 49,334 tests,  4,744 recoveries and 77 deaths in the past 24 hours.

55,304 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.

The country has confirmed 771,381 cases of coronavirus since February 2020, of which 705,312 have recovered and 10,739 have died from the virus.

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows:  

Tbilisi – 1,832 cases
Adjara – 133 cases 
Imereti – 711 cases
Kvemo Kartli – 362 cases 
Shida Kartli – 423 cases 
Guria – 84 cases 
Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 311 cases 
Kakheti – 448 cases
Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 118 cases
Samtskhe-Javakheti – 104 cases
Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 37 cases

6,864 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today, while 47,149 others remain at home as they have a mild form of the virus.

2,025,471 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country since March 2021, of which  959,701 have been fully vaccinated.
