Coronavirus in Georgia: daily cases at 25,161, 219,007 remain infected

Georgia has reported 25,161 new cases of coronavirus out of 72,587 tests in the past 24 hours, while 219,007 remain infected mostly with the Omicron strain of the virus in the country as of now.

 

The daily positivity rate as of yesterday is 34.66%, for the last 14 days – 29.26% and for seven days – 32.45%.

 

16,789 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, while the total number of people recovered increased to 1,141,231.

 

51 new deaths from coronavirus have been reported  over the past 24 hours.  A total of 15,351 people have died from the virus in Georgia since April 2020.

Adjara – 2,011, 

 

Imereti – 3,730, 

 

Kvemo Kartli – 1,421, 

 

Shida Kartli – 1,530, 

 

Guria – 642,

 

Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 1,577, 

 

Kakheti – 1 253, 

 

Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 597, 

 

Samtskhe-Javakheti – 437, 

 

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 106.

 

6 036 people are undergoing treatment in hospitals out of more than 219,000 Covid patients.
