Coronavirus in Georgia: daily cases at 407, deaths decrease to three

Georgia has reported 407 new cases of coronavirus out of the 22,788 tests in the past 24 hours, while three individuals have died from the virus in the reported period.

Active cases have decreased to 5,583 from around 80,000 in mid-winter. 

The positivity rate as of yesterday is 1.79%, for the last 14 days – 3.2% and for the past seven days – 2.57%.

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows: 

Tbilisi – 194 

Adjara – 15 

Imereti – 49

Kvemo Kartli – 19 

Shida Kartli – 13

Guria – 32

Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 32

Kakheti – 28

Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 9

Samtskhe-Javakheti-7

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 9

Georgia has lifted all coronavirus restrictions except wearing of facemasks in transport and closed facilities.
