Covid daily cases stand at 4,226 in Georgia, death rate remains high

Georgia has reported 4,226 new cases of coronavirus of 55,130 tests, 4,091 recoveries and 53 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

45,298 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today. 

875,806 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia since February 26, 2020 of which 817,963 patients have recovered and 12,519 have died from the virus.

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows:  

Tbilisi – 1,790 cases 

Adjara – 205 cases 

Imereti – 635 cases 

Kvemo Kartli – 250 cases 

Shida Kartli – 366 cases 

Guria – 117 cases 

Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 316 cases 

Kakheti – 169 cases 

Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 92 cases 

Samtskhe-Javakheti – 235 cases 

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 51 cases

6,371 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 

37,738 individuals are undergoing treatment at home, while 40,809 individuals are in self-isolation.

1,205,262 individuals have gotten at least one shot of the vaccine in the country since March 2021, while 1,023,779 people have been fully vaccinated.
