Covid: Georgia reports 1,851 new cases, 5,530 recoveries, 55 deaths

Georgia has reported 1,851 new cases of coronavirus of 22,012 tests, 5,530 recoveries and 55 deaths on the weekend. 

 

47,289 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.

 

The country has had 814,097 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020, of which 755,229 have recovered, while 11,553 have died from the virus.

 

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows: 

 

Tbilisi – 861 cases 

Adjara – 83 cases 

Imereti – 350 cases

Kvemo Kartli – 84 cases 

Shida Kartli – 104 cases 

Guria – 48 cases 

Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 115 cases 

Kakheti – 92 cases

Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 51 cases

Samtskhe-Javakheti – 47 cases

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 16 cases

 

6,708 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals, while 39,458 others are at home.

 

2,097,159 individuals have received  at least one dose of the vaccine in the country since March 2021, of which  980,213 have been completely vaccinated.
