Covid kills 11,057 in Georgia since April 2020

Georgia has reported 1,820 new cases of coronavirus of 20,166 tests, 6,017 recoveries and 82 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

11,057 individuals  have died from the virus in the country since April 2020.52,429 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.

The country has had 785,911 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020, of which 722,399 have recovered.

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows:

Tbilisi – 820 cases 

Adjara – 96 cases 

Imereti – 375 cases

Kvemo Kartli – 128 cases 

Shida Kartli – 87 cases 

Guria – 29 cases 

Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 123 cases 

Kakheti – 86 cases

Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 27 cases

Samtskhe-Javakheti – 39 cases

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 10 cases

6,847 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today, while 44,391 others are at home due to a mild form of the virus. 

2,048,393 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country since March 2021, of which  966,790 have been fully vaccinated.
