Covid kills 8,233 in Georgia since April 2020

Covid-19 has killed 8,233 individuals in Georgia since April 4, 2020. 

The country has reported 946 new cases of coronavirus of 17,192 tests, 4,351 recoveries and 48 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

Both daily cases and deaths have begun to decrease in Georgia over the past several days. 

The country has had 581,815 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 

545,916 of the 581,815 patients have recovered, while 8,233 have died from the virus.

More than 6,000 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals, more than 1,000 are in Covid hotels,while the remaining majority are at home. 

Most of the new cases were recorded in Tbilisi – 324, Adjara – 120 and Imereti regions – 133.

1,507,986 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country so far, of which  605,529 individuals have been fully vaccinated.
