Crown Princess of Sweden visits Georgia

Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess of Sweden, Victoria, visits Georgia on Wednesday and Thursday, the embassy of Sweden to Georgia said on Wednesday. 

The Crown Princess will be hosted by the President of Georgia and by the EU Monitoring Mission. The visit forms part of the programme of Sweden’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union during the first half of 2023”, said the diplomatic mission. 

It added one of the priorities for Sweden’s EU Presidency was to underscore the importance of EU Civilian Crisis Management and to reinforce the European Union’s civilian CSDP (Common Security and Defence Policy) missions. 

“The EUMM in Georgia is a prime example of how EU civilian CSDP missions can help to provide stability, promote security, and build confidence in the countries where they are active. By visiting Georgia, The Crown Princess also wishes to highlight the long-standing friendship and partnership between our countries and peoples”, said the embassy.
